Saturday night was scorching hot inside of J.R.Phinickeys in Monroe Washington, as Dog Leg Preacher pounded out one red hot rock tune after another. This rocking party was thrown by Sky Valley ABATE, and as is usual with their events, it was an outstanding success.

The night was also a birthday for DLP supporter Annette!! She was in rare form indeed.A very happy birthday wish and a sincere thanks to Annette!!

That is Correct even the King of Rock and Roll came out to join the revelry. He brought a slightly out of tune guitar. DLP tried several times to get some comments from the King. Due to his unintelligible responses I am unable to post his comments, but hid did show support by purchasing a Dog Leg Preacher headband! He also got one for his girlfriend!

Dog Leg Preacher's latest video from their 2010 tour has gone viral. This video featuring a variety of still photos and video clips from the bands summer tour, as well as some footage from their performance at the Sturgis motorcycle rally has received close to 15,000 completed views in the last 30 days. DLP drummer Jon Fosdick said " I guess we will call this the second tap, after a nationally charting album, now there is a video getting some good views worldwide". Worldwide is correct with a full 63% of the total viewership coming from outside if the United States. DLP is already receiving a host of performance requests from around the U.S. for this summers schedule. This independent band is really beginning to make some noise!

Dog Leg Preacher to appear at the Redhook Brewery
Friday night February 25th will be rocking at the Red Hook Brewery in Woodinville Washington. Dog Leg Preacher will be blowing in for a special appearance here. The word is they are getting ready to unveil a big surprise at this show. The Redhook Brewery is located at 14300 NE 145th St Woodinville, WA 98072. The band is looking forward to a fantastic and fun filled night!

Dog Leg Preacher at Hayley's bar and grill/ DLP plays Monroe as the town burns!!!

This Saturday Night only Dog Leg Preacher will be returning to Hayley's Bar and Grill in Everett Washington. This will be DLP's first hometown appearance since returning home from their successful summer tour. This will be one action packed evening of high powered original rock and roll. So get there early if you would like a seat!!! There will also be an appearance by two unnamed celebrity bands that evening! This is going to be one hell of a good time!!!

Dog Leg Preacher at Eddies trackside/ Monroe apartment fire.
DLP would like to thank everyone who came out to see them at Eddies Trackside in Monroe!! The band was smoking hot both Friday and Saturday night. After Saturday nights performance the band was loading up there gear when they were interrupted by the fire Department! A neighboring apartment complex burst into flames. A big thanks to the bands assistant Mike Perry for the quick response on taking these few photos. Several band members spent the next hour or so letting victims on the fire use their cell phones to call freinds and relatives. It really was a big mess, but the band was glad they were able to provide the little assistance that they did.

Marcelo Portaro endorses Blackheart Amplifiers, Dog leg Preacher at Eddies trackside, The Jet Bar and Grill!

Dog Leg Preacher guitarist Marcelo Portaro has recently endorsed Blackheart Amplifiers.
Marcelo is currently using the 100w HotHead, and the 4x12 speaker cabinet. The big tone, and loud volume was exceptional on Dog Leg Preacher's summer tour, and works extremely well with Marcelo's aggressive style of lead guitar! The Blackheart held up to all of the rigors of the road, including 11 days in the heat and dust of the Sturgis Motorcycle rally. The rally puts a huge demand on the equipment. Dog Leg Preacher had several amp fail in the 105+ degree heat, but the Blackheart proved to be a incredible workhorse throughout the weeks events.

Dog Leg Preacher rocks the Jet!

Dog Leg Preacher's show at the Jet in Mill Creek was an incredible performance. A huge thanks to all of the great friends and fans who came out to see DLP. The place was packed, the club was hot, the drinks were cold, the band was on fire, what else could you ask for. It was fantastic to see such an incredible turnout. DLP was even blessed by a rare appearance of Seattle music icon Stevie Adamek. There are a lot of great pictures from the show on DLP's facebook page so please go tag yourself if you were there!

This Weekend at Eddies Trackside.

This weekend October 1st and 2nd Dog Leg Preacher will be making a very rare two night appearance at Eddie's Trackside in Monroe Wa. Eddies is located at 214 North Lewis Street Monroe, Wa 98272. This is a small venue, so you better get there early if you would like a seat. Dog Leg Preacher will be trying to not scorch the paint off the walls at Eddie's! See you there!!!

Dog Leg Preacher provides sound for Duffy Bishop!

Once again Dog Leg Preacher teamed up with sound man extraordinaire Don "Dodger" Dodge, and his partner Neal Storme. This time they were providing the DLP sound system for Duffy Bishop's reunion show, and movie screening at Ballard High School. As always Duffy put on an incredible show, if you have not seen her perform then you really need to go get it done! It was an honor to help out with this event. This Friday Night Dog Leg Preacher will be hosting a no holds barred rock and roll show at the Jet Bar and Grill in Mill Creek!!!
Friday September 17th Dog Leg Preacher will be returning to the Jet Bar. This is one incredibly rocking place, with live rock and roll on one side, and a ripping DJ on the other. A great chance to catch up with everyone in the NW music scene, this will be DLP's first night time club show since their return from the road. DLP will be performing a couple of brand new songs at this show, so you get a shot at hearing them before they head of to the recording studio to work on a new album this fall. The Jet is located at 800 164th street, Mill Creek Wa. see you there!!!

A huge thanks to Don"Dodger"Dodge and Neal Storme for the incredible sound!

Soundman extraordinaire Don Dodge, and Neal Storme, helped out Dog Leg Preacher last Saturday. DLP's usual sound engineer Cortley Everett was on vacation. Don and Neal came out and filled the spot, with an excellent performance. These guys are first rate pros, and it was an honor to have them at the helm. This show was for Sky Valley ABATE's biker appreciation night. What an old school knockout party! complete with bonfires, bike games, and drunken revelry. If you missed it you missed out!

The Nine fingered Drummer!
Saturday nights festivities were a real challenge for Dog Leg Preacher drummer Jon Fosdick. Jon had only two days to recover from surgery on his right hand before he had to perform a full 4 hour night for this show. Jon's right little finger was amputated due to an accident earlier this month, and they needed to remove several bone fragments, shorten some tendons, and re-stretch some skin. Despite the pain, swelling, and bleeding, Jon made it through the entire set. That will be a night to remember!

This coming Saturday night Dog Leg Preacher will be performing at the Sultan Eagles, from 6 to 10 p.m. This is the blow out thank you party for everyone who participated in Sky Valley ABATES annual bike show! This is a biker appreciation party so put on you leather and lets get it on. The Sultan Eagles is located at 1112 E Main Street Sultan Wa. camping is available so please check the ABATE website for more information.

Sturgis: The trip home, the breakdowns, Dog Leg Preacher's drummer gets finger amputated!

The Legendary Buffalo Chip, what else can be said? The Chip is the host to the largest and wildest outdoor party in the world. They run a first class establishment and a full week of performing there is an incredible experience. The look on Ozzy's face when the audience responded with not only cheers and applause, but the roaring of thousands of V twin engines was incredible, for only a moment he looked confused, like perhaps something was wrong with the PA system, or the monitors, and then as soon as he realized where the sound was coming from, to see the huge smile cover his face was absolutely priceless. This is only one example of the wonderful experiences that happen at this great venue every year. IF you have not been to the Legendary Buffalo Chip during rally week, it is something that needs to be on your list!!
Dog Leg Preacher rocked the house at the Chip this year!! All that needs to be said is that DLP delivered a world class performance worth remembering. DLP also made many great new freinds from around the world. Places like Holland, New Zealand, France and Australia, as well as many new freinds and fans from all over the U.S. and Canada! The Dog Leg crew actually lost count of how many radio and TV interviews that they did that week, but they are certain that they were picked up by at least 5 new radio stations an this tour!
The Mechanical breakdowns. Not sure what to think of the town of Superior Montana, but Dog Leg Preacher is beginning the get quite familiar with this town. The first Sturgis trip the band broke down on the way to Sturgis in Superior, then this year they broke down on the way home, again in Superior Montana! This time it Started out with a tremendous shaking in the motorhome, it really felt peculiar, more like a vibration than a misfire, after a couple of stops to check it out the group decided to chance limping it in to town, well that only lasted a few miles up the road. Drummer Jon Fosdick who was riding behind the motor home suddenly got an unexpected shower of hot antifreeze! That was it, the water pump had actually sheared off of the front of the motor homes engine. So the band waited for several hours for a Tow truck, while Sound Engineer Cortley Everett, and Stage Manager Jeff Fosdick switched around trailers and made arrangements for the band to camp in the town of Superior. The following morning the band began the task of repairing the motorhome, and after 6 or so hours of work it was back together, and running, but not really well. So they set out that evening to limp it home. The were numerous other adventures between superior and home, but that is DLP filmed the entire tour, and all of these adventures plus many more will be available on their upcoming "Feel The Thunder Tour" documentary movie.
Dog Leg Preacher drummer Jon Fosdick looses a loved one and a finger! Well is would be nice if after returning from tour everything dropped right back into place, and things went as expected, however this is real life and that is not always the case. So we are sad to report that after returning home, Jon learned that his sister Cathy was just hospitalized with complications arising from her pulmonary hypertension. The situation was very grimm, as her kidneys were shutting down, and she was only expected to live for a matter of days. He was at least lucky enough to tell her goodbye while she was still coherent and could talk clearly. Jons sister Cathy passed on Saturday August 21st. To add to an already distressing situation Jon was unhooking and equipment trailer on the evening of Sunday August 22nd, when the trailer slipped loose from its jack and landed on his hand, crushing the pinkie finger on his right hand. After a quick trip to the emergency room, it was decided that the finger was not savable,and thus removed. It is unclear at this point what the missing finger will do to his drumming ability, but we will post is here when it becomes more clear.
Whats next? There seem to be lots of great new things right around the corner for Dog Leg Preacher, they have a full length movie to produce by the end of this year, and are planning to record another full length disc this fall. There is already a Grammy nominated producer looking to help out with this new disc, as well as hosts of radio stations waiting to play it. Despite all of the recent setbacks keep on checking in as many stories, photos and other great things from the tour will begin getting posted over the next several weeks!!!

Dog Leg Preacher has been tearing it up at the Black Hills Motorcycle rally in Sturigis South Dakota! Definitely the largest and wildest outdoor party in the World. DLP is performing 11 shows this week at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground. DLP will take to the stage tonight immediately after Kid Rock! DLP is honored to be part of such a fantastic event. As everyone expects, Sturgis is full of first rate Motorcycles, less than half dressed women, excellent music, and much much more. For a really good look at many of the still photos from Sturgis check out the photo albums on Dog Leg Preacher's face book page. It is really hard to find time to do any posting with so much going on here, but the movie filming is going very well, in fact Dog Leg Preacher may have to make the very own private reserve version of some of this footage, considering that it is definitely for a mature audience!
Also DLP would like to shout out a huge thank you to Uncle Sams's in Spanaway Washington, and the Red Door Lounge in Billings Montana. These are two fantastic places, and come highly recommended as first rate performance venues!!

This Saturday night Dog Leg Preacher will be kicking off their "Feel the Thunder" summer tour and Movie shoot with a performance at Uncle Sam's American bar and Grill in Spanaway Washington. This is going to be a barn burner of a show with Dog Leg Preacher performing from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. The entire evenings events will be filmed for inclusion in the movie so put on your best outfit, polish up your bike and get on down to Uncle Sams this Saturday night. DLP will be looking for plenty of crowd shots, as well as bike shots, so lets get it done!!!
DLP will also be filming on location at the Red Door Lounge in Billings Montana, as well as 9 dates at The Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground in Sturgis South Dakota. This is going to be one hell of a Movie!!!

Thursday July 22nd you can get some Leg in Tacoma Washington. Dog Leg Preacher will be performing at Destination Harley Davidson's Taco Thursday. This will be the last chance to catch Dog Leg Preacher prior to them beginning their "Feel the Thunder" road to Sturgis tour and movie shoot, which kicks off July 31st at Uncle Sam's in Spanaway Wa. This is going to be a great show, and Dog Leg Preacher will have all of their Sturgis 2010 merchandise on display and available for purchase. DLP performs from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Dog Leg Preacher at the Jet in Mill Creek

Oh yeah, this Saturday July 3rd catch Dog Leg Preacher at the Jet bar and grill in Mill Creek Wa. They will be joined there by special guests "Witness X" and "The Flanagan Precept". It will be one hell of a show. Rumor has it that DLP will be performing one of there high energy tour shows, a great chance for the local fans to check it out before the act goes on the road in late July. Things have been really cooking in the Dog Leg Camp, as the band prepares for their tour to Sturgis, and the filming of a brand new Rockumentary movie. The very first tour shirts should be in stock by this coming weekend! Dog Leg is eager to get out on the road, and spread some leg around the country!

The Gorge show with Tom Petty and Joe Cocker! Dog Leg Preacher had an absolute blast playing on the Plaza stage for the Tom Petty/ Joe Cocker Concert. It was great to see all of the thriving DLP fans that actually made the trip to see the band. Joe Cocker, wow that man wails, and quite literally, what a singer. For Tom Petty what can you say about someone who can perform for several hours, and everything that he played was a hit recording. It was a great show.

Hayleys bar and Gill The show at Hayleys was fantastic, man Cortley had the sound going on right for that one. A huge thanks to special guests Gumshen for Opening up that show, it was a lot of fun.

Club Hollywood Casino A big thank you to Club Hollywood casino for hosting a Dog Leg Preacher show. What a cool venue, and great personnel there as well. It is always great to be at a place were the staff is respectful, courteous, and helpful. Dog Leg Preacher will be looking forward to their return date there on July 10th. Hoping to see many smiling faces there again.

The Road to Sturgis Tons of preparations are still going on for Dog Leg Preachers road to Sturgis tour. DLP is overjoyed to be performing at the Legendary Buffalo Chip this year. The band is eager to see many good freinds there in South Dakota. As well as meeting many new ones on the way. DLP would like to give a big shout out to ABATE of Montana for their help in promoting the tour stop at the Red Door Lounge in Billings, this is going to be a huge show.

Friday night June 11th 2010 catch Dog leg Preacher at the Gorge amphitheater in George Washington. It will be one hell of a night as the DLP crew is planning on pulling out all of the stops for this one.
Saturday night June 12th DLP will be in Everett Washington at Hayley's bar and grill. The opening act is Gumshen, a really great south end band. This will be one incredible show, and DLP will be looking forward to seeing the entire Dog Pound out there!
Also a huge thanks to everyone who attended the Waldo's show. The place was rocking and the band had a blast. Definitely a cool venue with great staff. DLP will be looking forward to returning to Waldo's sometime soon.
There is still many things to be done with a tour coming up in July as well as a Movie shoot, and an entire weeks worth of performances at the Legendary Buffalo chip in Sturgis South Dakota. The DLP camp is buzzing in double overtime hours right now. All that is needed right now is a few extra days each week so we can keep up!

Dog Leg Preachers music, specifically the song Sable is currently being used as a backing track in a brand new bike buildup video. The video is a collaboration between the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground, world renown builder Micheal Prugh, welder Luke Steinmetz,and Jerremy Schunneman. Together they are building a bike that will be auctioned off this year for the "Legends Ride" a charity celebrity ride that happens annually in Sturgis South Dakota! Saturday, May 15th from 10-7 & Sunday, 16th from 10-6, 2010!

The U District StreetFair is the kick-off event for the festival season in the Seattle region. It is also the longest running street festival in the nation! Self-described as "country fair meets urban retail corridor", the StreetFair attracts more than 50,000 people and over 300 craft and food booths to the District on the third weekend of May each year. The StreetFair is an energetic and exciting celebration of arts and crafts, community information, music, and food. You'll find a whirl of color and creativity. Join us next year and celebrate our 41st annual Fair. There will be two main stages featuring music, dance performance, comedy and more, a special children's area with age appropriate events, a wonderful medley of street performers and much more. The unique local and regional arts & crafts and an array of international food will delight you.

The StreetFair is a free event, located in the heart of the University District of Seattle on University Way NE, and is produced by the Greater University Chamber of Commerce.

Dog Leg Preacher gets tapped to perform at the Legendary Buffalo Chip during the Sturgis motorcycle rally!

The biggest and baddest week long outdoor party in the world, and Dog Leg Preacher will be smack in the middle of it! That is right, The Sturgis Motorcycle rally is huge, with attendance numbers that often time rival the population of the entire state, and the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground is the premiere destination for all rally goers. This year Dog Leg Preacher will be joining a prestigious array of other performers including ZZ Top, Buckcherry, Tesla, Kid Rock, Motley Crue, The Guess Who, Creedence Revisted, Disturbed, Scorpions, Orianthi, Dave Mason, Jason Aldean, The Doobie Brothers, Williams & Ree, Toby Roktot, Tumbleweed Junction, Roxslyde, The Saloons Girls, Dwight York, Charlie Brechtel, The Electric Rev. This will definitely be the party of the year for everyone involved.

Dog Leg Preacher will be touring to the Legendary Buffalo chip and back. DLP has already set the stage for several tour dates, and is currently negotiating others. The greatest news being, Dog Leg Preacher will be filming the entire tour and incorporating all of their footage in a special feature film. That is right DLP will be filming at various venues across the United States, and at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground in Sturgis South Dakota. There is already interest from some highly regarded cable television channels at the prospect of airing this film in the fall or winter of this year. Dog Leg Preacher performs a two and a half hour show

Saturday Night April 10th.
By 1:00 in the morning Dog Leg Preacher was exhausted. taking to the stage at at 10:30 and playing a straight two and a half hours of high energy rock music. The non stop show had everything that the audience paid for and more in it. Screaming guitar solo's, Over the top vocals, thundering bass solos, and rock solid drums. Not to mention a few gallons of blood sweat and tears as the band tore its way through the lengthy performance. This full tilt show at Hayley's bar and grill in Everett Wa, marks the first of a series of several "training shows" as Dog Leg Preacher prepares for this summers touring schedule. A very special thanks to "The Core" for providing the entertainment for the opening slot.
This looks to be an incredibly busy week in the Dog Leg Preacher camp. There are contracts out all over, and the entire place is a buzz about the coming tour. Preparations are all being made, products being prepared for marketing, travel arrangements being laid out.
Dog Leg Preacher is planning on making several very important announcements this week! Things are definitely getting crazy around here. It seems to be a full time job just trying to keep up!

They will be playing multiple cuts from the new DLP album Abscess. Dog Leg Preacher to perform a concert in Marysville Washington

Dog Leg Preacher will be pulling out all of the stops for the next big show at JR Phinickeys Steakhouse in Marysville Washington. JR's is located at 1352 State ave in downtown Marysville. In addition to fabulous steak dinners, JR's offers excellent drinks, and ample seating. Definitely a great venue for a show. DLP will be taking the stage early that night, sometime around 8 P.M. the show gets out early as well approximately 11:30. Again DLP will be expecting a large contingent of musicians, and other entertainment professional, so come on out, get a good dinner and do some schmoozing. Like always DLP would love to see you there. DLP is also hoping to be able to make some very special announcements that night, but we will see how negotiations go by then!
Dog Leg Preacher would also like to thank all of the great people who came out to their last show at Hayley's. It was great to send freinds, family, fans, and fellow musicians from as far away as Bellingham, and Portland. You people are wonderful, and truly DLP's inspiration to keep things moving forward. Dog Leg Preacher and the big show at Hayleys bar and grill

This Saturday night February 27th Dog Leg Preacher will be tearing up the stage at Hayley's bar and grill in Everett Wa. DLP will be joined by special guest scattered pieces. This will be an event to attend. From preliminary reports, DLP will be expecting numerous "Dignitaries" from the entertainment industry at this one. A really good chance to come out and do some schmoozing! Hayley will be backing it up with a dinner special prime rib dips for just $8.49, as well as $2 well drinks from 8 until 11 P.M. DLP would also like to thank the Everett Silvertips for their support with the PSA's and the "Fish" Jeff Aaron for throwing in his kind words. Hayley's will be the place to be after the Tips game Saturday night. DLP is also celebrating their 12th consecutive week of charting on the national airplay charts. Currently there are many information and contract requests rolling into the Dog Leg Preacher camp, so the opportunities to get out and see this group locally, and for a good price are dwindling. Dog Leg Preacher will be looking forward to seeing everyone there!!!!

Saturday February 13th was a fantastic night. A packed house at Stewarts place. Dog Leg Preacher would like to personally thank all of the great freinds and fans who attended the show. It was a wonderful experience to play for such an awesome and exuberant crowd. DLP really wishes that they had more time to talk to everyone at events like this. It was a lot of great fun. The Next big show will be February 27th at Hayleys in Everett, 1716 Hewitt ave. This is going to be one hell of a show. There is also a hockey game that night, so DLP will be expecting a very large crowd. Come on in a little early to visit with the band, and get some dinner. DLP will be looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Dog Leg Preacher lands at #29 on the top metal albums chart this week

The Dog Leg camp is all a buzz this week. Once again the new album "Abscess" remains in the FMQB top metal albums chart this week. It so nice to say that after 8 week DLP is still in the top 30!! It also a great honor to be on a chart with so many other great artists. This week we see AC/DC, Rob Halford, Mudvayne, Rob Zombie, Rammstein, Slayer, WASP, and many more all on the same list. Many have asked why they cannot yet find the new Dog Leg Preacher available for online download at many of the usual sites. The answer seems to be an error in the paperwork that was needed for the material to be released. The error has now been corrected, and the NEW DLP will be available on Itunes, and all the other usual sites in the next several weeks.

Back in the Saddle! Dog Leg Preacher returns to Snohomish

Saturday night February 13th Dog Leg Preacher will return to Snohomish Washington for a one night only no holds barred rock and roll extravaganza. It is all going down at Stewarts Place, 709 1st street. Stewarts is a small venue for this group, and in front of a home town crowd it will be a busy night, so if you would like a seat you better get there early. This is a rare show for Dog Leg, because of both the facts. There is no cover charge, and the length of the show. DLP will play from 9:30 to 1:30, so you will be able to hear many songs not usually performed at the 90 minute shows. Also because there are multiple breaks during the evening it presents a good chance to actually hang out with an get to know the band members. As always DLP is really looking forward to seeing many good freinds at this event.
Lots of things buzzing around in the DLP world right now, and next week looks to be a busy one. Anticipation is building as DLP is expecting to make some exciting new announcements soon!!!

Dog Leg Preacher breaks into the Top 40 at CMJ!

Very proud to announce that this week Dog Leg Preacher has landed in the top 40 of the CMJ loud rock charts. Coming in at #26 with a bullet, which means that the number of plays is still rising. This is a huge thing for an independent band, considering that all of the other acts on the chart are singed. There have also been significant gains this week on the FMQB chart. Going up another ten places. DLP has again added several larger stations this week, with the disc going into rotation on each of them. There are several more great surprises lurking right around the corner for these guys, so stay tuned! Currently there are some server issues at CMJ, so as soon as we get the new chart we will post it here!

A great show at the Showbox Sodo

Last Saturday night January 16th was one rocking time at the Showbox. The December 11th show at Hayley's was an incredible blast. We would like to thank all of the great people who came out to see the show. The place was packed, and it was good times for all, except sound engineer Cortley Everett. Cortley was involved in a minor altercation with a homeless drunk, who was spitting all over Cortleys vehicle. After a serious verbal altercation, and a little face to face shouting the vagrant went in to the club were he was promptly(and courteously) asked to leave. Hayley is always a great host, and its always a pleasure going back to perform there. A huge thanks to the band South Bound. They are really a great band and a pleasure to work with.
Also this week we are proud to announce that Dog Leg Preacher climbed another 11 chart positions this week to number 28. The anticipation is building as we are waiting now to see just how high can this independent project go? Lots of irons in the fire right now. check back soon!

A December to remember: First off thank you to all of the great friends and fans that came out to DLP'S Stewarts show. Jon and Joe both had an excellent birthday, and are now well stocked in hot Cheetos. Karen took some great photos of the crowd. They are on her facebook profile, so check them out, and tag yourself if you are in them!
We are celebrating some more chart climbing this week, as Dog Leg Preacher has now climbed another 13 spaces to number 58 on FMQB's loud rock charts this week. They also climbed 9 spaces to number 51 on CMJ. This is the last reporting week of the year, so we will be anticipating more good news in early January.
Next week on Friday the 11th Dog Leg Preacher will be putting on their last show for 2009 at Hayleys bar and grill. (1716 Hewitt ave Everett, WA) They will be joined by special guest Southbound. Southbound is really an incredible band, so get there early and check them out. Hayley will also be cooking up some really great items in the kitchen, so come extra early and join the band for dinner. There is also rumor of an early evening performance by a special celebrity guest, but we will have to wait and see.

This week gets started with a boom. Monday night November 23rd, KISM radio 92.9FM will be playing the entire Dog Leg Preacher "Abscess" disc. It is always great to get additional airplay and support. DLP will be featured on the Midnight snack program, which starts precisely at midnight. So if you are up late, tune in.
Friday night November 27th Dog Leg Preacher will be performing at Stewarts place in Snohomish Wa. It is going to be a great night. DLP will be celebrating singer Joe Kurke, and Drummer Jon Fosdicks birthdays. DLP is expecting many good freinds there for this non stop party.
Cameraman Tyler Yates made it out last week to capture some great video footage for some upcoming television spots.Looking forward to seeing this film soon,as well as the new radio tracking report, which is due out tomorrow.

It is going to be a wild and crazy day for Dog Leg Preacher. First of they will be appearing for a brief interview at 5:15 PM on KOMO news radio AM 1000. Click on the link for a live feed. Then it is off to Neumos for a full tilt rock and roll party, and everyone is invited. DLP will be celebrating this weeks news that they landed on three separate radio tracking charts. #101 on FMQB's loud rock albums, #88 on metal Detector, and #63 on the CMJ loud rock charts. DLP will also be shooting some video for some upcoming television spots.
Other great news. Monday night November 23rd at midnight on KISM radio 92.9fm they will be playing the entire Dog Leg Preacher disc. KISM is out of Bellingham Wa. You should be able to hear the broadcast from Vancouver Island to Lynwood. More about this on Sunday.

We are of course proud to announce that Dog Leg Preacher has been listed on the FMQB loud rock/metal albums chart this week. It is really nice to see DLP's hard work paying off. DLP will be announcing soon the commercial station that will be playing the entire Abscess disc in completion. This will be done to honor DLP's good friend and producer Tom Pfaeffle who was tragically murdered earlier this year.
The next Dog Leg Preacher show will be this coming Saturday November 21st at Neumos in Seattle. Neumos has the reputation for being Seattle's hottest nightclub. DLP will be filming this show for some future television spots, so put on some clothes that will get you noticed. There are still a few tickets left. They are available at Bargain CD's in Everett, Guitarville in Shoreline, and Cascade music in Marysville. So come on out and get some leg. It will be a party to remember!

Wow, October has just scurried by. Things have been getting much busier at Dog Leg Preacher central. November looks to be an exciting month, as the new Dog Leg Preacher disc Abscess becomes officially available for radio as stated by FMQB on November 10th. The first song off of the disc "Ashes" was selected as a track of the day in October by Classic Rock magazine. This listing also spread to Redneck, and trakkrz magazine. We also saw a great article about drummer Jon Fosdick in the Marysville Globe, as well as a new page about the band on the website of the Legendary Buffalo chip campground in Sturgis. The new Dog Leg Preacher web store should be up and running in just a few days, and there are some other surprising, and exciting things that tie in with the store, but they must remain secret for now. KYRS radio in Spokane has really been hitting the new disc hard, lots of spins there, as well as a few newcomers, such as Troys room radio in Los Angeles, and Mike Fischer radio in the U.K. Dog Leg Preacher is working on getting their E mail sorted out, they would like to apologize to anyone that they have not responded to. DLP manager Kevin Smith said "We always respond to everyone, this is not how we like to do things, but we had to shut one mailbox down. We were receiving over 2000 e mails from different people in Russia per day. We are not sure what is happening there, but we do not read Russian." With all the attention on the new disc and marketing, the booking for live shows has taken a hit. DLP is working hard on getting some of this straightened out in the next 30 days. Lots of great things happening now.

What an incredible night. Dog Leg Preacher would like to thank all of the fantastic friends and family who came out to see the show. As well as the Creekside's owner Tim, and the lovely bartender Shawna. It was a full house, and a full tilt rock and roll party extravaganza. If you missed it, then you missed out. It is always wonderful to play a club with first rate hospitality. Tim runs a superb operation in lake Stevens. The staff is courteous and friendly, and the food is excellent!
Now November is just a stones throw away! Excitement is building as the new Dog Leg Preacher disc Abscess, is headed for its promotion campaign. There are currently close to 200 stations spinning the disc right now, and with the number of stations and plays looking to increase exponentially in November, the plans are being laid for marketing phase one.
November is also birthday month for Dog Leg Preacher. 50% of the band was born in November, so check back soon as we begin preparations for our November birthday bash. DLP would like to invite all their November born to freinds to join in the celebration.

Edge rockers Dog Leg Preacher's next hard hitting show will be at Seattle's Showbox Sodo 1700 first ave South, on Friday September 25th. This red hot lineup will feature a host of great bands including Jupiter Crash, Focus point, and Wren Drive. Dog Leg Preacher has already sold out their allotted tickets for this show, however if you want to attend there are still some advance tickets available through ticketmaster or you can e mail the band doglegpreacher@screamingskunk.com with your details, and they will get you on the will call list, you can still save a couple of bucks over the door price this way.
It has only been a couple of weeks since the release of Abscess, and already a few reports are beginning to trickle in. Kyrs 92.3 FM is reporting strong rotation, and excellent listener response, with over 15 plays in the last 5 days. The links to buy the new disc online have not even been totally processed yet. But you can hear some web radio cuts from the Album here. Troys room TV called in this morning, they will be rolling the disc on Channel 1 in Los Angeles on October 6th at 5:00 P.M. PST. This coming Saturday September 12th Dog Leg Preacher will be back by popular demand at Hayley's bar and grill in Everett WA(1716 Hewitt ave Everett, WA). They will be joined by special guests Gumption 9-10 pm Dog Leg Preacher will take the stage Around 10:15 or so. The show will be closed by DLP's good friends Cavernous Groove. The evenings entertainment include a special guest appearance by Native American flautist Peter Ali. If you have not seen someone performing on a wooden love flute, then you need to be there early. Peters performances are always a real treat.
This Wednesday night Dog Leg Preacher will be added to the play list at KYRS radio 92.3FM in Spokane WA. Their station debut will happen on the Red Eye radio show at 12:20 A.M. Dog Leg Preacher will be bringing their high powered rock show to Snohomish early this Saturday the 29th. DLP will be at the world famous Collectors Choice Restaurant in beautiful downtown Snohomish. The show is outdoors, and scheduled to go on from 5 to 9 PM. For those who haven't tasted the fair at Collectors be forewarned. There is a reason they are world famous. Nice people there as well.
The Disaster at Dream Fest. Well as many of you already know Dreamfest was canceled at the start of the second day. The reasons for this are numerous. This was essentially the very first entertainment fund raiser put on by Why Knot Me, and the learning curve was very vicious to say the least. However this is a good cause, and we are sure that they will not give up easy, so look for Dreamfest to be back and better next year.
The Menage radio show. This people are great, DLP would like to thank Julie and Jennifer for having them on. It was a great time with some fantastic and genuine people. The show is on every Saturday on KKNW 1150 am out of Seattle. Be sure to check these guys out.

Lets start out by saying how wonderful it was to have taken part in Tom Pfaeffle's memorial at the Moore Theater last night. The place was packed full of people that were touched by Tom during his Journey among us. Everyone had many opportunities to both share, and listen to many stories about Tom, and his life's work. There were several musical performances. Random Manor did a great job, KK and his Weathered Underground were literally a joy to watch onstage, and there was a special one song acoustic performance of Silent Lucidity performed by Queensryche that brought the house down. This was a fantastic celebration of one mans life.
Dog Leg Preacher will be performing at Dream Fest 09 August 21, 22, an 23. This is a benefit for Why Knot Me. Why Knot me is a charitable organization that specializes in providing help for abused and under privileged children. Their current reach is in King and Pierce county, but they are continually working to expand their outreach programs. This Event will be held at the King Kat Theater in Seattle. In addition to Dog Leg Preacher there is a long list of fantastic performers. Friday the 21st is Urban Evergreen, Untold Theory, The Purps, Dog Leg Preacher, and Sublime LBC. Saturday night the 22nd is T bagging Bandits, Mason James, Mephitis, Cold Note, Dog Leg Preacher, and Puro Bandido. Then on Sunday it will be Tacoma Urban Orchestra, Stephanie Johnston, Deborah Page, Dog Leg Preacher,Jay Mac Cadillac, Liza Brown (featuring Kashmir and Tony Oronzco), and Micheal Powers. This is a fantastic event, and it is for a very worthy cause, so please help in spreading the word. Advance tickets are available through Brown Paper Ticket.
Hempfest. Dog Leg Preacher will be performing at 3:00 Saturday August 15th on the McWilliams stage. We have been receiving numerous inquiries as to when and where DLP will be performing. The Mcwilliams Stage is close to the Southern entrance of Hempfest. This will be a short set, so it is better to get there early instead of late.

Bubba's Road house/ Sultan police go wild after alcohol fueled assault

As always the show at Bubba's roadhouse was a blast. We would like to thank all of our great friends who showed up from as far away as Tacoma. We would also like to thank the great people from the CMA who showed up to see Dog Leg Preacher. Bubba's is always fun.
However the Sultan police were on high alert (and deservedly so) as it seems the previous night there was a fight in an unnamed establishment very close to Bubba's. Apparently one of the intoxicated combatants in his eagerness to escape an old fashioned beat down jumped behind the wheel of his vehicle and ran over a crowd of bystanders in the attempt. We have little information about the seriousness of the injuries sustained by the 6 or so people who were injured. We do know that some people had to be airlifted to the hospital, and that the clubs parking lot was jammed with ambulances. We could not believe that the club would be open for business following an event of this magnitude, but they were. The police were literally camped in their parking lot all night, and were pulling over almost every car they could. Needless to say, but these are the type of reckless actions by a few individuals that ruin things for all the responsible people out there. Also perhaps a properly trained and equipped bar staff with a bouncer could have better contained the violence prior to it spilling into the streets. FUNNY THING. THIS COMING SATURDAY DOG LEG PREACHER WILL BE PERFORMING AT HEMPFEST. In all my years as a working musician I have never seen the police or anyone else respond to a fight between people who were only smoking pot. We do not claim to have any answers, but it is an interesting observance.

Many things going on at once here in the Dog Leg Preacher camp. First off this coming Saturday August 8th DLP will be performing at Bubba's Road House in Sultan Wa. Bubba's has first rate food, and an excellent staff. Show kicks off at 9:00. But we recommended coming for dinner first. Bubba's is located at 924 SR 2 in Sultan.
Then Thursday night August 13th there will be a memorial for Tom Pfaeffle at the Moore theater in Seattle Wa. This event is slated to kick off around 5:00 p.m. and although there is no admission charge a $10 donation is recommended, and of course all donations will go to the Pfaeffle family. The schedule of event is still somewhat murky, but there will be an appearance by KK and his weathered Underground, as well as Random Manor, and I believe there will be an open mike session as well. We are also looking for any photos of Tom that people might have. Please send them to doglegpreacher@screamingskunk.com and we will make sure they end up in the right place.
Saturday August 15th, Dog Leg Preacher will be performing at Seattle Hemp fest, in Myrtle Edwards park. DLP will perform on the McWilliams stage. They are scheduled to go on at 3:00 p.m. this will be a short set so don't be late, and bring your Hippie Lettuce.
Currently both the new CD and DLP's rockumentary movie are in duplication. The new CD "Abscess" is due out August 12th, and the first movies started shipping today. This has been a lot of work already and we have only just began. Nathan our new web wizard is also preparing a newly remodeled website and store that should be up very soon. Things a turning now.
Lets hope that Barney Fife stays away from the next few shows. Barney is very dangerous when all fueled up on the fumes of burning Hippie Lettuce.

Although it seems like a very long time ago indeed. This I suppose is brought on by having our last two shows harassed by the local police departments. The Friday night show was canceled entirely, and at the last minute, because someone figured out that the club did not have enough square feet of parking to support the potential occupancy of their outdoor beer garden. Ok got it, so the club looses, the band looses, the patrons loose, the town looses revenue. Now I completely understand the reasoning behind this. That brings us to Saturday night. DLP was performing at Stewart's place in Snohomish. They were told on three separate occasions to turn it down or the police were going to close the bar(by what right?). Ok maybe the first time they were a bit loud. The second time was sketchy, but by the third time the canned music from the wedding reception a half block away was much louder. Of course these are the same Barney Fife's that sprayed a crowd of people at Kla Ha Ya days with pepper spray. There only reason for this was that one officer was accidentally struck while trying to break up a cat fight(being hit by a 5'!" 100lbs girl). One club DLP works with recently received a ticket for over serving, the person that was allegedly over served was walking home from the club when stopped by the police for the standard harassment. When asked to blow the person blew a 0.09, 0.01 above the legal limit for driving a car. Is this over served??
I remember a day when you could actually ride your motorcycle around legally without a helmet, now in some places helmets are mandatory for bicycles. I remember when you could drive down the road and drink a beer. This was okay as long as you were not drunk. How about smoking, remember when you could smoke a cigarette in a bar. Now we have so many restrictions and regulations on our behavior. In reality the only purpose for these is to establish greater government controls over our private lives. What is the difference between compulsory insurance and racketeering ie protection money? As far as I can tell the only thing is that when you pay the gangsters for protection at least you get protection. In this state if you have a major insurance claim, odds are that you will have to sue your own insurance company for payment, and this takes years. As best I can tell about what the police call protection is that they will send someone out to wipe your blood up off of the street, and then go and look for who did it, maybe. Think about it, after all of these ridiculous regulations, are you any happier, do you feel safer. I BET YOU DO NOT. Maybe it is time to start thinking about less regulations and greater freedom and happiness. All the major crimes have always been illegal, lets stop making criminals out of normal citizens.

Complete with five songs off of their upcoming CD Abscess. For those of you outside of KISM's broadcast area you can listen to the LIVE SIMULCAST here. ALSO this Saturday night Dog Leg Preacher will be tearing it up at Hayley's in Everett Washington (1716 Hewitt ave)along with MidStokke, and Dirty Hollywood. These bands are the winners from the previous 3 years of Sound Harley Davidson's annual battle of the bands contests. Dog Leg will kick off the night by first showing their "Hang Me the Sturgis roadtrip" documentary movie at 8:00. Then they will take the Stage at 9. We are looking forward to a exciting evening at Hayleys.
THE MAD SCRAMBLE. As many of you already know, Dog Leg Preacher was scheduled to perform last Sunday at Bubbas Roadhouse for the annual Motorcycle show and street fair. However at ten o'clock Sunday morning en route to the show the word came from DLP frontman Joe Kurke that he was way to sick to perform. Dog Leg Preacher always does their best to honor all their contracts, thus the mad scramble to find a replacement prior to the one o'clock start time began. After a quick post on twitter DLP was getting phone calls from bands as far away as Sacramento California, Eugene Oregon, and even someplace in New Mexico. Kind of funny because the message was very clear, "We need a band in Sultan Washington in 2 hours". Some people either failed geography, or have Superman handling their logistics. Eventually a replacement was found, Bubba was very cool about the situation, and the only real loss was a few disgruntled fans, and a little lost pay. It was a really fun show at Station 56 last week. Complete with pole dancers, Pirates, and Playboy Bunny's. We would like to thank Levi from Xil records for showing everyone a good time. For those who did not make it you really missed out, the set started out with what will now be referred to as the G string incident. Vogard will gladly field any questions regarding this one!!! This coming Sunday July 12 Dog Leg Preacher will be in the beer garden at Bubba's roadhouse. Its going to be all leather and lace, as this is the 13 and a half year ABATE of Washington antique Motorcycle show, as well as the Sultan shindig. The bike show has previously been held in Snohomish, however this year it is being moved to Sultan due to monetary issues with the town fathers. Bubba is throwing a grand party, complete with drink specials, an incredible BBQ, horseshoe's and live rock and roll. The music is scheduled to kick off around 1:00 p.m. and run till 6 or so. No cover charge here, just great fun. For those of you planning on riding out to the event, kick us off an E mail, and I will tell you of a fantastic alternative route to the show. Lots of great news right now. First off, we are all done tracking and mixing the new Dog Leg Preacher CD. We are so excited to be releasing it August 12th. A very good friend and someone who's opinion we hold in very high regard just commented that "this is the best rock album of the last 20 years"! Wow! Thank you very much to Tom Pfaeffle of the Tank recording studio for making this album incredibly great.
This Tuesday June 23rd, Dog Leg Preacher will be heading off to KISM 92.9 FM radio in Bellingham, to tape an interview. We will be discussing the new CD,and movie, and will be playing multiple tracks off of the CD. The interview is scheduled to air in late July, right before the CD release date. So for all of our friends in Northwest Washington check back in a few weeks for the actual interview date and time.
The New York radio interview was fun, it is a little difficult to follow those New York accents some times, but we got it done. For those of you who missed the show, we were on with Vinnie, the bike builder from American Chopper. You can still download the podcast on Biker Lowdown. They seemed to have the bass frequency a little hot on the track that they played but it still sounded good!
The next Dog Leg Preacher show will be Sunday July 5th at Station 56 in Tacoma Washington. This will be our first night in this club, and we are exited to be trying it out. We would like to thanks Levi from XIL records for the hookup on this show. There will be a lot of great bands there for the evenings entertainment. DLP is scheduled to take the stage around 10:00 PM, but you never know how these multiple band shows go, so you better get there early.
Sunday July 12th Dog Leg Preacher will be performing in Sultan Washington, outdoors in the beer garden at Bubba's Roadhouse (924 SR 2) in Sultan Washington. The music is scheduled to start around 1:00 PM. There are two major events happening in town that day. First off is the Sultan Shindig, this is the annual small town festival for the city of Sultan Washington. The second event is the Antique motorcycle show, put on by Sky Valley Abate. Usually held in Snohomish the event has been moved to Sultan this year due to some political issues with the city council in Snohomish. This event usually draws around 20,000 people. Coupled with the Shindig the town of Sultan will be booming that Sunday. Hope to see you at Bubba's home to some of the finest prime rib in the Northwest!!!
Seattle Hempfest, Dog Leg Preacher will be performing at Seattle Hempfest this year. Some of the details are still pending, but look for a DLP performance there on August 15th. Hempfest always draws huge crowds, and we will be there having a blast with all the other party goers. I am certain that our marketing department will be buried at this show, so if you know of any volunteers to help out with this please drop us a note. doglegpreacher@screamingskunk.com
Dream Fest. Late in August DLP will be taking part in Dream Fest. This is a benefit for abused children. Dog Leg will be co headlining with Sublime LBC, as well a others TBA. DLP will be premiering their rockumentary film Hang Me the Sturgis roadtrip at this event. Check back soon for more details.

Today we will be doing a live interview with the Biker Lowdown radio show in Long Island New York. We will be discussing the movie, as well as playing a few excerpts from the upcoming CD. These will be pre-production versions, as we do not expect to be finished with CD until this coming Sunday. The interview will be simulcast, you can tune in by going to www.bikerlowdown.com and clicking on the radio show link. The interview is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, or 5:00 for those of you on the west coast of the U.S. We are very excited about the release of this new CD, and the anticipation seems to be growing as we keep getting unsolicited media requests. The actual CD release date is August 15th. Check back often as we have some very cool surprises lurking on the horizon.

Saturday June 6th 2009 Downtown Seattle, Dog Leg Preacher is all revved for the next all out rock show at Motor(1950 1st ave s). DLP always looks forward to performing in Seattle, and lately the audience has been a who is who list of the Northwest Music scene(excluding their sound man Cortley Everett). There will be no reason to expect anything different, as Dog Leg Preacher prepares another high caliber, magnum force sonic assault for Club Motor. DLP is planning on showing some of their first teaser clips and possibly a trailer or two from their new long awaited Rockumentary movie "Hang Me the Sturgis road trip" DLP's schedule is very tight for the next several months with a full length CD due in July they will be spending a lot of time in the studio finishing this project off. July and August schedules are very tight as well. So don't miss your chance to come out and get some leg!! DLP is scheduled to take the stage around 11:00. They will be performing with special quests Kick Start, and TBA.
